I went to the JW Marriott Grande Lakes on John Young yesterday. I had a pretty hard all-day, full body workout on Sunday and my upper body was sore and in need of some hydrotherapy. My main goal was to hit up a hot tub there to relax and heal. I’d passed through there once before on a visit so I knew getting into the pool area wouldn’t be a problem. Before I hit that up, I saw a new highway bridge being erected over Shingle Creek and got curious. I drove my car through the grass and some mud to get a closer look. I even climbed a ladder to the top (getting dirty in the process) hoping to walk to the other side but it wasn’t possible. Well, it was but I wasn’t trying to get hurt out there by myself. Success! After two failed attempts at riding on the trail (1st and 2nd, all pics are in the 1st), I did it right this time. Yesterday, I contemplated whether to hit the gym after work and do 10 miles on level 11 (out of 20) on a stationary bike or go outside and get some open air. It wasn’t too hot out so I went with the open air option. I got all my gear in order, made sure my car and bike tires were properly inflated (hadn’t checked in a while), and went straight to Hunter’s Creek Middle School which was a lot closer than I thought it was. After fucking up my 1st attempt (you can also view the pictures at that link), I made damn sure to look at the maps properly and get the right info. And guess what? I still fucked up! Just like last time, I was in the mood for some riding. I had time to get some breakfast and hit up the Hampton Inn on Kirkman. You know I had to make a waffle there, right? Them shits is on point! I made sure I had a decently full stomach before departing. Tons of hot chicks there and the majority of them weren’t jailbait. If I didn’t have a different mission, I woulda been mackin’ for sure.
