I’ve been managing my time quite well lately and last Sunday, I wanted to get out and ride my regular bike for the first time in a good month or 2. What prompted me to get out was 2 conversations that I had recently. One was with another pedicab driver who wanted to know about off-road places to bike in the city. Another was a bike shop owner who asked if I was gonna get out and enjoy the weather last weekend. The weather just happened to be perfect but it was too late in the day for me to go hiking along Shingle Creek Trail behind the Rosen hotel of the same name. I found an article on orlandosentinel.com about a new part of the trail that opened up near the Mall at Millenia.
I texted the image of the trail route to myself so I didn’t get lost

I took a walk along Shingle Creek back on 11/29/2011 for exercise after I got off work. It was kinda cold outside. I got mailed some pretty good Burger King coupons and used one of them beforehand: 2 whoppers, 2 fries for 5 bucks. Seems like a meal for 2, don’t it? Well, with my appetite, it was a meal for one. Some online maps are totally out of date. I parked at the end of a building’s lot in Southpark Center Loop and walked around one of the retention ponds. Then I walked along the creek but came to an endpoint. Across the water, I saw what looked like a sign as if people were allowed to walk there. It was then that I wanted to find out what it was. But that was for another day. I walked along the creek up to the new Destination Parkway

i’ve been so busy lately and neglecting my exercise. today i got back in the groove of things and decided to take a walk after seeing my bills lose to the jets. wasn’t sure if i was gonna walk around the neighborhood or do something more adventurous but the explorer in me won. i opted out of wearing my ankle weights cuz i didn’t wanna get slowed down too much cuz it gets dark earlier now due to the time change and it was around 5pm when i left home. shingle creek is within walking distance of my house. i’ve ridden my bike along it before but wanted a more intimate approach this time around. i parked in an empty lot at the southernmost building on southpark center loop. that’s where people can actually drive into the shingle creek area. my plan was to walk along the long retention pond
