I'm sorry, but anyone who says that they bought a ton of stuff is not talking about this show. I sold $84 worth of product mostly to other vendors. I do major food shows around the country (Fiery Foods Show Albuquerque/ metro cooking and entertaining) and this is the worst show I have ever been to. Imagine trying to market food products less than 10 ft from live tattoos being given. Pretty sure that is a health violation. The organizers of this show were very persistent in tryi g to get new vendors by calling all of the time. Wish they wouldve done a better job finding attendees! Additionally, due to their taking my credit info over the phone and apparently leaving it lying around, I had SEVERaL FRAUDULENT charges posted to my card shortly after this show. All charges originated from the central Florida Area. This card was used for nothing other than this show for several months prior... CoincEdence???? Probably not! Worst show ever!

hey ne2. thanks for the link. i did realize that short marriott trail was there after the fact but haven't returned to "walk" it. based on what you're saying, it might not be worth it. if i do, i'll just guerilla it with my bike during another exploration ride on the tougher shingle creek paths. as dry as it's been lately, certain parts of it should be more manageable. hope you enjoyed your time out there.

There's a "nature trail" on SFWMD land at the Grande Vista that goes right next to the golf course (with a thin layer of trees between). It's for walking only (per the big sign at the beginning). This is what's shown on the SFWMD guide. The south end is at the substation that you visited in part 2.

I read somewhere that there are plans to bridge the pond south of the substation; hopefully they'll allow bikes on the north end then.

I rode over there today and walked the trail; I saw more golfers than animals.

Great review Melvin. Neeson is out-standing here and gives probably one of his best performances that we have seen from him in a very long time. The rest of the film also works because there’s not only this certain paranoia going on but even when the “action” comes, it’s tense, brutal, and surprising. Best film of the year so far even though that’s definitely not saying much. Check out my review when you get the chance.

I want to start off saying this was my 1st show and it made me not want to attend any other trade shows!! I can agree with Lauri about the number of pople that cam through the doors. I was the one who sold the male enhancement products and I made 3 sale the whole weekend. After speaking to a number of vendors they told me that this is not how trade shows go, the owners of the showed claimed that they gave out more than 100,000 free tickets but the TRAFFIC didnt show!! Melvin Im sure when you walked around you didnt see many people at the show being that it was at the OCC. I spent over $4000 for this show and drove over 5 hours to get there. As an owner of a business I see this as an big problem and they should want to do something to help the vendors that lost so much money!!

Hello! I was at this gift show and it was awesome!!! I have been to a few other events like this here at the Orange County Convention Center like the home show or the Southern Woman's show...but this was my favorite out of all of them. I bought a ton of cool stuff for gifts...jewelry, baby stuff for my niece, great foods and sauces that my husband and I are still using and ordering more of, etc. I thought the event was great and everyone was so nice and pleasant...especially the show management. I went into their side office to personally thank them for my families experience and the products I bought. I love the Make-A-Wish Foundation charity and was glad to support them and I loved hearing the children's choir sing!! Great times!! Hope they come back next year.

sorry to hear about that, lauri. since attendance numbers were inflated and other things may not have been done right to make the show as successful as it coulda been, maybe you vendors could rally together and go after the event organizers to try and recoup some losses like the rental fees.

I was one of the very disappointed vendors at the show. I offer Handcrafted Custom Designed Jewelry using semi-precious stones and Designer Handbags. Innovative One who hosted the show presented the show as being high-end botique shopping. Unfortunately there was extreme variety at the show from tatoo artist, rebath, male inhancement products & condoms, dollar store merchandise, teeth whiting - not to take away from these merchants but do must variety. Also the attendance after Saturday (2 days) was only 400. My expenses were over $3000 of which I will only was able to recoup $100. While I enjoyed my visit to Orlando I could not recommend doing business with Innovative One Productions.

glad to hear you had a good time, mark. i stated that the show looked well put together once inside but i don't agree that it was all that diverse. i didn't just go cuz it was free. i wanted to spend money too but there was nothing in there for me.

they may have done some advertising for the show but they seriously missed the mark. advertising to locals is one thing but again, this is orlando, the most traveled city in america, and there was the P5 convention within walking distance with affluent people attending in addition to all of i-drive which is filled with tourists who more than likely would have paid and bought what was available inside so that more vendors and charities coulda made some money.

i don't want anyone to fail but if they return, they gotta know who to advertise to and how. they seemed to have forgotten what city and what area the event was taking place in.
