Flew solo to this because no one else wanted to go. I left home later than usual due to running late on some errands but I still arrived in time to get in line inside the theater (Regal Cinemas Winter Park) rather than outside. While waiting in line, I watched the latest episode of Bleach on my phone and finished reading a newspaper. While waiting inside, I started reading the Prologue issue to Marvel’s Annihilation series. This was the first time I’ve ever been to a screening where they asked people if they had guns or knives and security used metal detectors to scan people with. While waiting in line to see this at Regal Cinemas in Winter Park last week, I was watching the latest episode of Bleach on my phone; this time from Bleachverse instead of HorribleSubs and it was the .avi version. I was tempted to tell them to shut up but they eventually did on their own. Not another peep

I went to see this as an alternative to seeing Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. A couple of weeks ago, I had a screening pass to see Act of Valor and the only use I had for it was to gain access to the Regal Cinema to see something else. TTSS was playing across the lobby so there was no chance of me being able to sneak over. That left me with Contraband as a backup which was playing on the same side as AoV. The auditorium had about 20-30 people in it, if that.
I did my research ahead of time and found out this movie is a remake of an Icelandic movie called Reykjavík Rotterdam. In the past, I’d have straight out boycotted American remakes of any foreign film but after watching The Next Three Days when it came out and finding out later it was a remake
